Oris Diver 65

Yet another hilarious attempt to photograph a watch without the right equipment. Here I used a Zeiss Jena 24mmm macro lens, mounted (with an adapter) onto a Leica CL. These are at the minimum focusing distance.

Considering that the lens is from the 1960s, I thought it was a good choice for a vintage-style diver’s watch named the Diver 65. This is a ‘Cotton Candy’ edition, with the green dial. The original strap matches the dial, but I changed it to an olive-green one.

The domed crystal, combined with the bronze case, makes me think of a porthole on a rusting ship, adrift somewhere surreal and fictional.
