Botanic Gardens

The Belfast Botanic Gardens are a cheerful swathe of colour. But for a moment, the combination of darkening skies and slanted sunlight created a moody atmosphere that needed capturing in black and white.

The Victorian greenhouse in particular looked deliciously sinister. I really should have done more with this scene, but we were in a hurry and only passing through.
